This theme is currently focused on a project called Years in the Red, an archive project that catalogues the early life of the radical and independent Pluto Press.
Drawing from a visual Index of all the publications made between its inception in 1969 to it sale in 1987, Years in the Red investigates an Intimate History of Pluto Press during that period, with interviews, archival material, films and written narrative. Themes that were important then, during the 1970s and 1980s are developed and explored in a Restrospective selection of key titles and ideas in the context of today’s social, political and cultural climate, specifically in Britain, via commissioned writing, films and other material.
